The DEMOSPACES platform was developed by INESC TEC within the scope of the Alliance for the Energy Transition (ATE) project.
ATE is co-funded by Component 5 – Business Capitalisation and Innovation, integrated in the Resilience Dimension of the Recovery and Resilience Plan, under the European Union Recovery and Resilience Facility, framed by NextGenerationEU, for the 2021-2026 period, under project ATE, reference 56.

Purpose of processing
The DEMOSPACES platform promotes demonstration spaces in the energy sector in Portugal, helping accelerate the validation and adoption of innovative solutions in real-life contexts.
Personal data submitted through the platform forms is processed to respond to contact requests, route requests related to spaces and challenges, manage the preference to receive news when selected, and ensure the security, integrity and technical operation of the platform.
Personal data
The platform forms may collect first and last name, entity or organisation, email address, phone number when provided, message, privacy-policy consent, preference to receive news when selected, and the space or challenge associated with the request when the contact is submitted from a detail page.
The platform may also process technical data required for operation, security and auditability, such as technical access logs, IP address, request date/time and browser or device information, according to the hosting and security tools in use.
Controller
The controller is INESC TEC – Instituto de Engenharia de Sistemas e Computadores, Tecnologia e Ciencia, Campus da FEUP, Rua Dr. Roberto Frias, 4200-465 Porto, Portugal.
Retention of personal data
Personal data is retained only for the period necessary to respond to the submitted request, manage contact with the user, comply with legal obligations, or ensure the security and auditability of the platform.
Sharing of personal data
Requests submitted through the Home page are routed to the DEMOSPACES operational contact at INESC TEC. Requests submitted from a demonstration space or challenge page are routed to the email associated with that space or challenge, with the DEMOSPACES operational contact in copy.
Whenever the request concerns a partner entity or an entity responsible for a space/challenge, the submitted data may be shared with that entity so that the request can be answered.
Security measures
The DEMOSPACES platform adopts appropriate technical and organisational measures, including HTTPS/TLS, restricted administration access, form validation, anti-abuse mechanisms such as WordPress nonce verification and a honeypot field, regular updates, security monitoring tools and data minimisation.
Data subject rights
Under applicable law, the data subject may exercise their rights to information, access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability and objection, where applicable. To exercise these rights or request clarification, please contact cite-contact@inesctec.pt.
The data subject also has the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In Portugal, the competent authority is the Portuguese Data Protection Authority: https://www.cnpd.pt/.
